Technology

One line. Two product families. Software switches the mode.

The PNW BIO platform is a proprietary carbon conversion process engineered to produce either microporous supercapacitor carbon or mesoporous activated carbon on the same equipment — by software command rather than by hardware reconfiguration.

Platform

Software-toggled. Industrial scale.

Conventional activated carbon lines fix the pore regime at the reactor level: a line built for supercapacitor carbon cannot produce water-treatment carbon, and vice versa. Any change in product requires a change in plant.

Our proprietary process breaks that constraint. The system's control software selects the output mode — microporous for energy storage, mesoporous for water remediation — without changing the equipment. Same platform. Same feedstock. Same crew. Different setpoint.

Mode behaviour

Two addressable product families, selectable at the panel.

Microporous mode

Supercapacitor-grade carbon

Pore architecture sized to electrolyte ion radius — a target of 0.8–1.2 nm. Output is SC-1 (FT-Energy 4000), delivered to electrode-layer specification with metallic impurities below 20 ppm.

Mesoporous mode

Activated carbon for adsorption

Pore volume shifted toward the meso range for PFAS adsorption, municipal drinking-water service, and industrial trace-contaminant removal. Eight commercial grades, AC-1 through AC-8.

Shared resource

One feedstock, one line

Both product families draw from the same Pacific Northwest forest biomass input and run on the same platform. A single Anchor Node can address both the water-remediation and grid-storage markets.

Switching cost

Software-native

Mode selection is a control-system parameter. Operators do not reconfigure equipment, do not rebuild tooling, and do not idle the line for product change. The platform responds to order mix, not the mix changing the platform.

Feedstock

Stranded Pacific Northwest forest biomass — 100% domestic, forest to filter.

The input to every product on the PNW BIO line is non-federal timber residue drawn from Pacific Northwest forests. The supply chain runs domestic from harvest through conversion to final specification, positioning the platform for Build America, Buy America procurement pathways and insulating operations from import-tariff volatility.
